vanity vs. economic stupidity

"WAKE UP! STOP BUYING FROM COMPANIES THAT DONT RESPECT YOU! POOL YOUR MONEY AND INVEST IT! IF THIS READS LIKE BULLSHIT..PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DELETE ME!" Jason K. Spencer..

After seeing the movie Good Hair on Tuesday I realize that if black women did what Jason suggests above, and only bought from block owned hair product manufacturers, umm then a large majority of you would be walking around almost baldheaded or rocking afros and jheri curls.

There wouldn't be a human hair weave in sight, (since they are all manufactured in India and Asia) nor any creamy crack to straighten out your kinks, except Dudleys...

Think about the possibilities if we took that same money and POOLED IT TOGETHER, in a neighborhood collective, invested it into improving our own communities, creating our own products, factories, INSTEAD OF investing $1000 at a time or MORE into our scalps.. A weave may look nice, but it is not an appreciating asset, no matter how many dates it may get you.

We'd ALL be mega millionaires, if we embraced this quote above and saved our paychecks.. and yes thats right I said we'd alllllllllll be millionaires..

How many chicks in the hood are rocking weave from 8, 9, 10 years old? Their parents are spending money right... we could ALL be millionaires.. smh.. I'm about to start making creamy crack in my kitchen like Madame C J Walker and selling it out of tupperware containers to my homegirls..

Then when I save enough money I'm going to take it to the streets and sell it out the trunk of my car.. do you think anyone will buy from me??? or do you think that people would rather give their money away to Revlon and soft sheen-carson ? Where it ends up circulating in some upper crust privileged neighborhood, never coming back to the hood unless its been invested in a new product for us to BUY!

The founder of Revlon, Charles Revson, once said.. something to the effect of, there coming a day where black woman will have to buy all their products from companies like revlon

smh, ladies how do you feel about that? he's an ambitious dude and look, they did it.. There are only 3 or 4 other companies OUT OF HUNDREDS, that manufacture hair products for black women, and are actually BLACK OWNED.. sad I know

So after I master the creamy crack, then I'ma fly to Pakistan/ India Malaysia and try to buy some sacrificial hair to make weaves, seriously....you need a direct link for these things.. lol
